Looks like I might have pissed of the SPAMers by turning off the Trackback function. My server is currently getting pummeled really hard, its still going but has definitely slowed down. So if I go away for a bit it will just be temporary as I try and deal with this. It might be time to start blocking IPs at the firewall level,

OK, I blocked the four sites that were pummeling me and turned off TrackBack for now. If I can find a good automated system to block the TrackBack SPAM like the regular comment SPAM has I'll consider turning it back on. It's a great concept. To bad its so badly abused.
