How about being able to monitor 100,000 documents with a single reader? This is what Magellan has done in order to ensure a quicker read write speed. It has put to use phase jitter modulation (PJM) high frequency RFID technology which is quite different from HF and UHF in the manner it manipulates radio waves for communication. Here phase shift keying or PSK is used which spreads the RF signal over eight channels and even the tags are untuned making them operate between 10MHz and 17MHz which betters their anti collision performance resulting in faster read write speed and enhanced capability of identifying tags which are quite close.
The company has come up with MDOCR-2505 document tray reader which looks quite similar to a document in/out tray and can read around hundred documents stacked within it whereas the MARS-24 reader for shelves and cabinets accepts input from around 24 antennas for monitoring 100,000 documents with a single reader. The other thing around is MSTRP-5050 tunnel reader which can be used for identification of files and documents packed in records boxes and can inventory a whopping ten thousand tagged items in seconds. Such load handling would have not been possible in normal circumstances and therefore this would surely suit the needs of big organizations.
