ISP makes movie “Privacy Matters”: Via ALTERNATE-REALITY.NET
My ISP has made some sort of promotion movie about privacy. It’s actually one of their marketing slogans, but I’ve always liked that particular one. Here is the article with the movie included, they’re working on an english subtitled version as we speak.
It’s pretty amazing what you can know about a person through IT systems, that’s for sure. While I’m not fond of the fact that computers collect information about me, the real problem I have with it is because of the potential morons assessing that information. Anything that gives power to a certain group of people over another group of people is certainly to be feared. I wouldn’t trust many with what can be discovered with new technology. You could say ‘hey you’re not important’, but as the movie said you suddenly can become important for no reason at all.
No thank you, I don’t even trust people make a correct judgement with their nose up close, let alone via information systems.
